Who are these citizens in disguise? Youth volunteers. These community super heroes are getting things done! All together these highly committed volunteers have put in more than 200 hours of time making our community better. They have done everything from helping out at the Boys and Girls Club to training service dogs. To pay homage to these wonderful students, the Red Lodge Area Community Foundation sponsored a pizza party celebrating the 900+ hours that the Red Lodge high school students contributed this last semester. Ten pizzas (from our local Red Lodge Pizza Co, of course) were served while several students stood up in front of their classmates to give testimonials on what volunteering means to them. Hearing these young volunteers talk about how they have changed this community for the better really incites passion, and just proves even further, how Red Lodge is an amazing community to be a part of.
Do you have any ideas for a youth volunteer at your business or a project some youth volunteers can take on? If you do, please contact Rue Freeman at 426-0419 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org. Be sure to touch base with our teenagers about volunteering, they are doing great things!
