Please join us for the next Chamber After Hours/Halloween Party on Thursday, October 24 from 5:30-7 p.m. at Red Lodge Chiropractic! Come in costume or as your wonderful self, bring the kids, bring your partner, bring everyone you know! Find out more about one another and the fun you can have together while off duty but still networking! It is FREE for you thanks to our hosts!
Following the After Hours, head on over to the Elks Lodge for the Mayoral Candidate Forum with Tom Weaver and Ed Williams. Everyone is welcome to attend, cash bar, questions and answers to discover more about these two candidates campaigning to be your next Mayor! Go in costume! This is no small leadership position as you are aware. The weight of the topics and items that are placed before City Council are quite heavy most times. The Mayor shares valuable input and is the deciding factor in the event of a tie. This position is one of the faces of the community in countless aspects so make sure you vote and get to know your leaders!
Thanks are in order to MDOT, the City of Red Lodge and Red Lodge Rock and Retainer! You may see some action happening at your Chamber/Visitors Center over the next several weeks. As many of you may be aware, there are many plans for construction around the Chamber property in 2014. Some of these plans include the creation of 4th Avenue between Subway and the Chamber, a cul-de-sac created on the west side of the Chamber property instead of the connection to Highway 78 and the ever famous roundabout on the northeast side of the Chamber property. Chief Plenty Coups will remain in place but that is about it on the north/northeast side.
The two visitors center signs have been removed and a new sign will be erected-with greater public visibility. Needless to say, we won’t know exactly how it will all fall into place after March, but we are doing what we can now to make the necessary (required) changes. Thanks to hard work and commitment from our newest Chamber Member, Aaron Baranko, owner of Red Lodge Rock and Retainer. Born and raised in Red Lodge whose family owns Red Lodge Beverages (truly committed to the community, too!), Aaron is a true joy to work with, sharing great ideas and is an excellent communicator. He hit the ground running as soon as he received the go-ahead! We are looking forward to the way the visitors center will look and we hope you do as well. The Chamber will be open during all construction at this point.
Not sure what the Chamber of Commerce/Visitors Center does for you and the community? Please give us a call at 406-446-1718 and ask for Patty! We are happy to talk with you about our endeavors on your behalf.
