To prevent the birth of unwanted puppy and kitten litters and to further reduce the number of homeless animals in Carbon County, Beartooth Humane Alliance will be offering its free spay/neuter clinic, Operation Nip & Tuck XII, on Friday, April 11 for dogs only, and on Friday, April 25 for cats only at a new location. These spay/neuter clinics will replace the traditional clinic held in September.
Both clinics will be held at the Joliet High School (old gym) at 300 N. Park in Joliet. The clinics are intended to help low income residents who cannot afford to have their dog or cat fixed, and for all residents to control barn and feral cat populations. If you are not a limited-income resident, BHA would appreciate if you would use the services of your local veterinarian for your pet.
Appointments are necessary and limited in quantity. To make an appointment to bring a dog or cat in for surgery, call 426-0092 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
For details about both clinics visit the BHA website, www.beartoothhumane.org. This free community service is made possible in part though the generosity of the Sands Memorial Foundation, the Walmart Foundation, and local sponsors.
